What Medicinsk luft AGA is and what it is used for
Medicinsk luft AGA contains air, which is used for inhalation.
Medicinsk luft AGA replaces normal air whenever a particle free air is required, e.g.:

As part of the fresh gas flow in respirator treatment and/or in connection with anaesthesia
-
As a propellant for inhaling other medicines (nebuliser treatment)
-
As pure air in the care of patients susceptible to infections such as in cases of organ/cell transplantation or extensive burn wounds.
What you need to know before you use Medicinsk luft AGA
Pregnancy and breast-feeding
Medicinsk luft AGA may be used during pregnancy.
Medicinsk luft AGA may be used during breast feeding.
How to use Medicinsk luft AGA
Always use Medicinsk luft AGA exactly as your doctor, pharmacist or nurse has told you. You should check with your doctor, pharmacist or nurse if you are not sure. Medicinsk luft AGA can be used in children, adults and elderly.
Medicinsk luft AGA is used by inhalation. You usually breathe Medicinsk luft AGA through a nasal prong or face mask. Either you breathe by yourself (spontaneously) or you are helped to breathe by means of a respirator/ventilator. Medicinsk luft AGA can also be used in connection with inhalation of medicines (nebulisation).
Medicinsk luft AGA can be mixed with medicinal oxygen when a higher concentration of oxygen is required.

Safety instructions

Medicinsk luft AGA is intended for medical use only.

Only connect the cylinder to a connection intended for medicinal air.

There must be no smoking or open flames in rooms where medicinal air is used.

Keep the cylinder clean, dry and free from oil or grease.

Switch off the apparatus when it is not in use.

In the event of fire – switch off the apparatus.

The pressure regulator must be opened slowly and carefully

There are no side effects associated with the use of Medicinsk luft AGA.

5. How to store Medicinsk luft AGA
Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the cylinder label.
Store the cylinder in a place reserved for medicinal gases (does not apply to home environment).
Handle carefully. Ensure that the gas cylinders are not dropped or exposed to knocks.
Must be stored and transported with valves closed and, where these are present, with the protective valve cover/cap in place.

Pharmaceutical form: medicinal gas, compressed
Medicinsk luft AGA is a colourless and odourless gas.
The shoulders of the gas cylinder are painted black and white (air). The body of the gas cylinder is white (medicinal gas). In Finland, the body of the gas cylinder can also be turquoise.
